Have you noticed the magnets on your refrigerator? They're nothing else but marketing tools used to popularize numerous products. They've proved to be of great help in building customer loyalty and have also done their bit in promoting the brand they stand for. As the marketing trends have changed now, attractive and dynamic tools have become necessary to survive in the market. The magnets seem to have lost their charm of capturing the attention of the desired customers. However, by using the following tricks you can bring them back into limelight and hence back into business.

A fascinating way to use a refrigerator magnet as a promotion tool is, by using it as a visiting card. Get rid of those paper cards and replace them with these new magnetic ones. Your customers will definitely take note of this novel idea. They will use it handy when they require putting up their child's artwork, stack in some papers together and the like. This is the time when your magnet will draw attention for sure. Whenever required, they'll definitely get back to you.

What if your magnet has varied functions? It'll attract more interest. Consider that it can be converted into a clasp to shut chip packets and other similar things. How about a beer opener? Engaging it is! But, also see that it could be put to a more regular use like holding papers. It can be so that a customer would wish to use it to put his prescriptions of diabetes medications in place together.

Giving your marketing magnet diverse shapes is an additional way you could use to advertise your product. Different shapes will show your dynamic nature and will increase your credibility in the market. Boring shapes go unnoticed. For instance, if you're an advertiser of Exposed skincare system then you could go for the shape of the product. Or if you are a happiness consultant you could opt for a joyful heart refrigerator magnet to promote yourself!

Every considered using your magnet as a discount coupon? Try and see it work magic for you. The grateful recipients would wish to use it over and over to avail rebates on products like the yeastrol yeast infection treatment. This innovative magnet would get you a lot of customers plus a great value for money because the coupon that you give out will eventually come back to you. Doesn't that mean a lot of cost cutting also? Yes, it does!

You need to put a little thought to recreate the refrigerator magnets as great promotional items. Suggestions are plenty should you put them to use appropriately. A magnet would work wonders for you, all you have to do is try different ways!

Save the Date Magnets vs Other Save the Date Options

Save the dates are one of those items those getting married need first. It is a way to inform friends and family that the couple has selected the date they will be getting married. It is also the first glimpse guests get at what the wedding style will be. These magnets have become a very popular choice for many reasons and surpass other choices in many areas.

Save the Date Magnets Are Practical

One of the best characteristics of wedding magnets is the fact that they are very practical. With the traditional date cards, people tend to lose them, throw them away on accident or never see them because they are stuffed in a drawer. Magnets are practical because they can be put on a refrigerator where they are seen every day or even multiple times a day. More than just being seen, they also serve a function which makes them useful to the person receiving the save the date rather than something they have to find a place for.

Wedding Magnets Are Affordable

Wedding magnets that announce and remind the guests of the wedding's date are very affordable; especially when compared to the cost of traditional options. Traditional save the date wedding options include professionally designed cards, post cards, and any other card combination. Although these items might tempt a "do-it-yourself" type of person to create them on their own, it is important to weigh the outcome of time, supply cost and of course, quality. As a whole, save the date wedding magnets will save you a lot of time, money and energy while receiving a professionally made item.

So Many Magnet Choices!

Some people might assume that there are limited choices when it comes to magnets. This is very far from the truth! Images that are placed on cards and similar can also be printed on magnets as well. Custom wedding magnets also give the option to attach a calendar on the save the date, a photo frame with a punch out of the actual message and much more.

Get Unique - Get Creative

Wedding magnets are very unique. Not only do they allow the couple to break out of the traditional mold, they allow the couple to get creative and create exactly what they want. Weddings should be a reflection of the couple together and what they like. Gone are the days where couples have to do everything in a traditional and structured manner. Create something unique with save the date magnets.

Save the Date Announcements

Save the dates are essential for a wedding that is set in a location that is not where the bridal couple's home town is. A save the date is a wedding announcement that is sent to every close friend and relative that you would like to announce your upcoming nuptials. You would also want to send a save the date to the individuals who will be invited to your destination wedding and also to your bridal party (if you are going to have one).

Tip: Order and send out your save the dates as soon as your set your date. This will give the guests a way in advance heads up about your wedding.

A save the date for a destination wedding should have some key pieces of information printed on it:

- the date of your wedding

- location of the wedding

You can should include hotel and travel information with the save the date so that the guests can plan for travel to your destination wedding well in advance.

Destination save the dates with a beach is very popular for an island destination. This will get your guests in the mood to travel when they see bright blue water against the welcoming sand. Or maybe you would like to send a save the date in the shape of a suitcase. There are even announcements in the shape of fish, shells and palm trees.

Another popular idea is the save the date is a magnet. Magnet save the date announcements come in different styles. Even though most of them are no bigger than a business card, these magnets are for placing on a refrigerator or a location where it will be seen on a regular basis to remind your guest of the upcoming nuptials.

Most save the date magnets are very stylish. I like recommend a bright magnet so that it will stand out (especially if the 'frig' is cluttered full of notes like mine). I also think it should have the date of the wedding in very plain and large text. They way they will be sure to see it! I would stay away from the scratch offs. They seem to confuse guests on what to do with them.

Save the date postcards are also available to send with all the pertinent information for your upcoming destination wedding. This postcard is sent out in the mail. It is not intended to be put inside an envelope. My favorite one is the save the date postcard with candy hearts. Inside the candy hearts is "save the date" printed in a very cute font.

What is a "save the date"?
A save the date notice is an item stating the date of a wedding or other formal event. It typically states the date when a couple plans to marry, so that recipients will know to keep that date free. Save the dates usually take the form of a card, but can also be a refrigerator magnet or similar item. They are generally sent out at least six to twelve months before the wedding date, and are usually followed by a formal wedding invitation.

While save the date started as a wedding-related custom, it is now used by individuals, businesses, and organizations to announce the date of any formal event, ranging from wedding anniversaries to grand opening ceremonies for office buildings.
When Do You Need to Send Out Wedding Invitations and Save the Dates?
When Do You Need to Send Out Wedding Invitations and Save the Dates?
By Learner Brown

So, your boyfriend has finally proposed. You have begun the monumental task of planning your wedding. You have an epic to do list and you are searching frantically for solid advice on how to get everything done. So, when do you need to send out those wedding invitations and save the date wedding announcements?

What you need the most is a timeline. Give yourself deadlines for everything on your to do list. Everything needs a due date. By organizing in this way, you will feel less overwhelmed and able to focus on one task at a time as you inch closer to your magical day.

So, when do you need to send out the invitations?

The invitations are traditionally sent out two months before the wedding. This gives a reasonable amount of time to send back the RSVP's. With the RSVP's the bride can put together all of the final details about seating and food at the reception.

The save the dates are a little bit more variable regarding when they must be sent. There are two things you need to consider when deciding where to put them on the timeline: your guests and yourself.

For your guests, ask yourself these questions:

Will your guests have to take time off of work to come to your wedding?
Will your guests be traveling a long distance and need to make arrangements accordingly?
Do your guests travel seasonally for work so that giving them advanced notice is crucial?

All of these factors will weigh on your decision.

When considering yourself, you need to think of where there may be a gap in your deadlines.

Early on, you are going to want to start tackling the big stuff, but it might be wise to tackle some of the smaller details, like save the date magnets, first. Choosing a save the date card or magnet does not need to take more than an afternoon, and even if you do not want to send them out right away, you will still want to have them picked out, and filled out and addressed early on in your deadline.

When should they be sent?

Traditionally, they are sent anywhere from between four and twelve months before the wedding day. I would err on the side of earlier. Sending out the save the dates as early as you can will mean one less thing to worry about. You can then knock it off your to do list and move on to the next thing.

A future bride will spend months if not years, planning for her special day and she will work very hard to make sure that each detail is just right. However she chooses to plan her day, the date itself can be a challenge for some guests to overcome.

What if your guests are coming from a great distance and need to budget for the trip? Or, what happens if the date falls close to a major holiday such as Christmas or Thanksgiving or other holiday? These things need to be planned for in advance by your guests.

What if you are planning your wedding in a high tourist area such as Cancun when it is at the height of the season? Your guests will need visible reminders that will help them to prepare for the date and plan ahead.

A popular tool that is being used by many brides to plan their wedding day and remind guests is a save the day wedding magnet. This magnet allows the bride and groom many creative outlets. They can be designed to attract attention through any means the bride can think of whether it is traditional or off-the-wall.

Many times these save the date magnets can be mailed in advance of the date by several months. This way guests will be able to better prepare and have the magnet as a constant reminder in places that are considered high activity areas of the house, or high visibility areas such as the refrigerator.

Couples will find that these save the date magnets are easily affordable and within just about anyone's budget. They can be designed any way that you choose and in any color. You can use them to match your wedding invitations with a traditional look, or you can choose something totally unique to your own style. You can also include favorite sayings and quotes on these magnets, as well as include photos and logos, whatever you choose they are the perfect visual reminder for your guests.

Every one of your guests will not need a save the date magnet, and so, for those that you do choose to give them to, you can include important information on them such as the dates and times of the events, as well as hotel, airline and car rental information.

Providing this information on the save the date magnet will prove helpful to your guests in planning to attend your special day and will put them one step closer in their preparations while helping them to remember the occasion.

Orange rug and carpet squares can give your home a lively atmosphere.

I Just Got Engaged, Now What?
I Just Got Engaged, Now What?
By Greg Froelich
November 2, 2009

You just got engaged and you're starting to come off the high of that special moment, and the reality that you have to start planning a wedding is starting to sink in. Where do I start? What's the first thing I need to do? How do I let people know I'm getting married?

For starters, one of the first things you need to do is to decide on a date! I know that sounds easy, but when you look at the calendar you might find a lot of other things already competing for your time. Once you decide on a date, you should probably both agree on the city and state in which you are going to be married. It has been customary for the couple to get married in the bride's home city and state, but with so many people moving off together, you might decide to get married right where you live now. Be considerate of your guests in your decision, taking into account how easy or difficult it might be for people to travel to you.

Once you've decided on the date and location, you're ready to order your Save the Dates. This is an important thing to remember, because today people have many more obligations and you want to make sure people reserve your date so they don't schedule something else. Since it is most likely that your wedding date is going to be a year or more away, we highly recommend that you order save the date magnets, as opposed to just a save the date card. Save the date magnets can be placed directly onto the refrigerator so people won't lose your card and forget the date.

When ordering save the date magnets, consider choosing a company that offers a way to include your photo into the design. Many people that you are going to invite may not have even met your bride or groom-to-be and this is a great way for them to see you two together. Including a photo on your save the date magnet also makes keeping it on the fridge a more natural thing. It is much more fun for people to see the two of your faces on the fridge as opposed to a boring announcement with just words. Believe it or not, many people will also place your save the date magnet into a scrapbook as a keepsake to be remembered years from now. Choose a save the date magnet printed on photo card stock with a magnetic striping on the back side to ensure that it is archival quality. Many floppy magnets will not last over time and cannot be scrapbooked.

Once you have the save the date magnets ordered, now it's time for the two of you to just enjoy each other for a few weeks and share your dreams and hopes of your life together. Don't rush into searching for your dress, worrying about tuxes and planning the menu. You'll have plenty of time for that. Take a few weeks to just be with each other and talk about how each of you would like your wedding to be. Once you both have a good understanding of each other's expectations, now you can start the planning process and it will be more fun with less conflict because you took the time to communicate before going into a planning frenzy!

People Love Em! - Why Save the Date Magnets Work So Well!
People Love Em! - Why Save the Date Magnets Work So Well!
By James Loram

Lately, the masses of engaged couples and party throwers have been dispatching preinvitations as either cards or as save the date magnets to all of their friends and family. The celebrators are doing this to inform them about some upcoming special event in their future. If you're trying to make up your mind between cards or magnets, hopefully this article will help you decide.

Save the date magnets are enormously popular lately and the great masses are making them not just pre-invites but the actual invite of choice. Whether it's for ceremony and reception, birthday party or an anniversary, fridge magnets are the premiere option for most party planning peeps. Here's some reasons if you trying to figure out why:

They are so very cute. Everybody wants to make a good impression when they invite their friends and family to a marriage or event. There is nothing more precious than ones that are well-made and funny!

People think they are fun. I know finding an invite in the mail, it makes me happy! If it's just a paper stock card, I usually scrawl the info down on the calendar then toss the card into the trash. This usually doesn't happen with magnets. Besides, what's more fun than sticking an invite up on the refrigerator?

Save the date magnets are personal. If you purchase normal paper stock cards, they usually don't symbolize you or your wedding, party, birthday, whatever. Usually normal paper stock cards are just a mediocre "We're having A Party!" card. It's much better to take a fun picture, add the date and time and place of the wedding, and you're set!

They are cheaper! The price on these items has become so low, that they are not much of an expense. You can find so many great deals for just about every budget. And even though they are inexpensive, that doesn't mean they are manufactured poorly.

They're Unique! We've all gotten the typical cards and, well, they really need to be done up to leap out at you. Save the date magnets can be manufactured in so many different ways, they definitely are a unique thing.

They aren't perfect, though. Brides and grooms, party planers and the like all use them nowadays. You might be coming across as cliché for doing the same. The positive to this negative of using them, though, is that you can totally personalize them and make them funny, romantic, outrageous or just cute. Another suggested downside is derived from folks who try to print them up in their own home. In most cases they will come out substandard in quality and when their potential party attendees get them, they seem unprofessional.

How come they work so well? As I wrote previously, I typically take a average save the date card and, once I take down the main points off of it, I toss it. If I do stick it up on the refrigerator, I do it with a magnet irrespectively. Once it falls off, though, I get annoyed and then trash it. I always stick the refrigerator magnets up and they don't often slip off (that is unless they are holding up card or party invite!). Also, I am faithfully reminded about the upcoming party every time I go to the fridge, which is about ten times a day, lol.

To get the most out of your refrigerator magnets, all you need to do is take care that you design them to fit the style of the event and take care that they reflect who you are. Also, stave off trying to make them yourself. You might luck out and make a decent product, but it is more effective to leave it to the pros. They have done it successfully time and time again! Here's to my wish that I've helped you as you make the choice between save the date magnets or plain cards for your upcoming celebration.
